LEMON TREE FLAT CAMPGROUND

Public BBQ

A green, spacious campground on the Severn River in Kwiambal National Park, with designated sites among gum trees, a couple of spots for vans, and fire places with a wood pile provided. The barbecues are the best of any camp around - swivel pot holders and hotplates, plus an undercover electric one with a huge table and a dual serving area. Three sets of drop toilets are well maintained and genuinely not smelly, though they can be a walk from your site. Tank water is available but boil it before drinking, there are no showers, and no rubbish bins at all, so everything goes home with you. The river is good for a swim and gentle enough for children, with fishing too, and Macintyre Falls and its swimming hole are four minutes' drive away. Goannas, cockatoos, wallabies and kangaroos are constant company.
